■ この【vehicle】は【place】に 行[い]きますか？
Meaning: “Does this [vehicle] go to [place]?”
Key Point:
この is a demonstrative used for something near the speaker.
に indicates the destination of movement.
Used to confirm whether a vehicle goes to a specific place.
Example
Ａ：
このバスは、マリンシティに 行[い]きますか？
Does this bus go to Marine City?
Ｂ：
ええ、行[い]きますよ。
Yes, it does.
Ａ：
この電車[でんしゃ]は、東[ひがし]新宿[しんじゅく]に 行[い]きますか？
Does this train go to Higashi-Shinjuku?
Ｂ：
あー、ちょっと わかりません。
Sorry, I don’t know.
■ ここは【place】ですか？
Meaning: “Is this [place]?” / “Am I at [place]?”
Key Point:
Used to ask your current location, especially on transport (buses, trains, etc.).
Use ここ to ask about your current stop.
Use 次[つぎ] to ask about the next stop.
Example ①
Ａ：
すみません。ここは、どこですか？
Excuse me. Where am I?
Ｂ：
大月[おおつき]です。終点[しゅうてん]です。
Ootsuki. This is the end of the line.
Example ②
Ａ：
あのう、次[つぎ]は、小倉[こくら]ですか？

■ 【Vehicle】で 来[き]ます
Meaning: “Come by [vehicle].”
Key Point:
で indicates the means or method of transportation.
Used to say how someone comes to a place.
When walking, use the verb 歩[ある]いて (not with で).
To ask how someone gets somewhere, use:
・どうやって 行[い]きますか？ (How do you get there?)
・何[なに]で 来[き]ましたか？ (By what did you come?)

■ 【Time/Period】かかります
Meaning: “It takes [time].”
Key Point:
Used to express how much time (or money) something requires.
かかります is the マス-form of かかる.
Use ～時間[じかん] for duration, and ～時[じ] for specific time.
～分[ふん] can mean both time (7:10) and duration (10 minutes).
Use ぐらい or くらい to say “about.”
To ask, use: どのぐらい かかりますか？

How long does it take to travel from your home to the office?

■ 【Place】で【Vehicle】に 乗[の]ります
Meaning: “Get on [vehicle] at [place].”
Key Point:
に 乗[の]ります (マス-form of 乗[の]る) means “to get on” or “to ride.”
で indicates the location where the action takes place.
■ 【Vehicle】を 降[お]ります
Meaning: “Get off [vehicle].”
Key Point:
を 降[お]ります (マス-form of 降[お]りる) means “to get off.”
で is also used to specify the place where you get off.
Example
Ａ：
ここから 病院[びょういん]まで、どうやって 行[い]きますか？
How do I get to the hospital from here?
Ｂ：
12番[ばん]の バスに 乗[の]ります。
